Purchase and service information · Updated 27.09.20261. Seller and contact
MacSnapshotBackup is sold by Grupa Portalowa Bartosz Kaczmarek, ul. Św. Wawrzyńca 7, 62-045 Pniewy, Polska, Polish tax ID (NIP) 7871974559. For purchases, licenses and complaints, email support@macsnapshotbackup.com.
2. Product and requirements
MacSnapshotBackup runs on macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It copies selected folders from your Mac to a selected external drive. The first backup copies the selected files; later runs skip unchanged files and copy new or detected changed files. A changed large file may be copied in full. Copying goes only from the Mac to the drive. Removing a source file does not automatically remove its backup. The app keeps one updated copy, not Time Machine-style version history.
Backups need free drive space, a running app and a connected drive. Scheduled backups also need the Mac to be on and awake. The app does not encrypt backup files automatically; use an encrypted drive for private data. Check a few files in Finder after a backup.
3. Order, price and delivery
A license for one Mac costs USD 29.99 once, with no subscription. The final amount, including any applicable taxes, is shown before payment confirmation. Payments are handled by Stripe. After payment is confirmed, we issue a key linked to the computer code supplied with the order. The key and contract confirmation will be sent to the email address provided.
4. License and activation
Purchase grants a non-exclusive license to use the app on one Mac indefinitely within the purchased major version. It does not automatically include future paid major versions. Moving to another Mac requires a license transfer by the seller; contact us before replacing your Mac. Initial activation needs the internet. The computer code links the license to the device and contains no backup files. Backups stay local and do not need a permanent internet connection after activation.
5. Withdrawal and refunds
Consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, this right may be lost only if the consumer expressly agrees to immediate supply before it begins, is informed of and acknowledges the loss of the withdrawal right, and the seller provides the required confirmation on a durable medium. If these conditions are not met, we do not exclude the statutory withdrawal right. Send a withdrawal statement to the seller’s email address. The absence of a voluntary refund programme does not limit statutory remedies for digital content that does not conform to the contract.
6. Complaints
If the app or license does not work as agreed, email support@macsnapshotbackup.com. Include the email used for purchase, the date, a description of the issue and, if available, the payment ID. We respond within the period required by law. This policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights concerning non-conforming digital content.
7. Data and security
Our privacy policy explains how we process the computer code and order data. Selected backup files are not uploaded to our server. The app is not currently signed with an Apple Developer ID certificate or notarized, so macOS may warn when opening it. The installation guide explains the steps for opening the downloaded package.
8. Changes and applicable law
The terms in force at purchase apply to that license unless mandatory law requires otherwise. We will publish updated terms with an effective date. Polish law applies without removing mandatory consumer protection under the law of the country where a consumer habitually lives. Consumers may also use available out-of-court dispute resolution procedures.
